I am a painter, working in oil and watercolor. I am inspired to paint by the beauty I see around me: in people and street scenes, landscapes, and flowers. My current focus is book illustrations and commissioned portraits. I am currently working on 22 portraits for a book about prominent rebbetzins (rabbi’s wives).

A retired medical doctor who practiced family medicine for many years, I believe that the powers of observation I developed as a physician have helped me in my work as an artist. I have been influenced by many fine artists and have studied with Eric Weigardt, Arnie Westerman, Craig Srebnik, and Max Ginsburg. I am involved in ORA:Northwest Jewish Artists and Oregon Society of Artists. I live in Portland, Oregon with my husband. In my paintings, I hope to immerse the viewer in the soulful essence of the subject.
