I always loved Jewish Folk Art from Eastern Europe and decided to embroidery combinations of pictures I’ve seen.  I’m using crewel embroidery stitches on either linen  or fine needlepoint canvas.  The raised elements use a Stumpwork embroidery technique.  Threads are a combination of yarn and silk.

 I’ve also written  oral history books on Jewish Portland and Portland in the 1960s..
