Glass is magic! You never know what it’s going to do. I came to fused glass at age 80 shortly after my husband died, it was a welcomed distraction from the grief. I could wake up and think about beautiful glass colors and designs. It gave me a new way of thinking about life. What surprised me was that people wanted to buy the artwork I created. I have had my glass work at the Oregon Jewish Museum gift shop, and at ORA shows at the Mittleman Jewish Community Center. I also had a show at Umpqua Bank. I have had several show with other artists in my home.
My treasured work was the nine hanukkiah I made for each of my adult grandchildren. It’s a wonderful thing to know that these will be passed down through generations to come.
