Jeanne Robin hails from New York. She moved to Portland to teach kindergarten at PJA where she made hannukiahs with students. This gave birth to the idea of designing small portable hannukiahs and Shabbat kits to share holidays out and about with others.
Jeanne studied Studio Art at Syracuse University and Childrenswear Design at Fashion Institute of Technology.
Making objects that are unique and treasured is her passion. She infuses much of her artwork with Jewish themes and Yiddishkeit. The highest compliment for her is when the elements of her creation sparks delight in a person’s life. Jeanne’s art goal is creating connection with other`through art by means of whimsical utilitarianism.
