Gale Feuer Barish

Creating ceramic sculpture and pots has been my passion. I have been intrigued by the myriad possibilities of clay since my studio art class at Bennington College sophomore year when Stanley Rosen demonstrated the expressive possibilities of clay. Inspiration has come from landscape, texture, Judacia, human form, negative space, psychology, Japanese Jamon Arts, Funk Art, abstract expressionism, Mary Cassatt, Giorgia O"Keefe, Marc Chegall, Peter Voulkos, Maria Martinez and Ron Nagle. My work has been shown at Neveh Shalom, Santa Catalina School, Monterey Museum of Art, Everson Museum Travelling Exhibit, the Julius Magnus Museum, and San Francisco Museum of Art.
