I have always seen myself as an Artist
Growing up in the wide-open spaces of Arizona. My family had a little non-working Ranch south of Phoenix. Our Ranch was surrounded by several productive Ranches. There were cotton fields, orange groves, a huge chicken ranch, and many horse pastures.
My passion of exhibiting my art work emerged in my pre-tee. On a large dry crusty patch of barren land behind my Grandparents home was my first public exhibit. Using my Grandmama’s garden hoe I etched a very large outline of a horses into the hard earth. After completing my earth etching, I gathered many good size rocks into my little red wagon with my faithful dog Chubby by my side. I then carefully arranged each stones one by one into the groves of my entire earth etching. I remember being quite proud of my efforts! Especially when one of the crop-dusting pilots that often flew over our property on their way to dust one of the cotton fields. Flying In brightly colored two wing aircraft one of the pilots rocked the wings of the airplane up and down. I waved back, appreciating the fact someone other than family was looking at my art.
I am so thankful for my wonderful Grandparents for nurturing my passion for making Art.
Past & Present
For as long as I can remember I've always had a passion for art.
I started out working to support myself as a graphic artist in the Technical and Commercial Art World. Then shortly after marrying the love of my life at the age of 31, I returned to School to further my education as a Fine Artist.
